Esther Hagen-Plantinga is a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN) and has authored more than 41 scientific publications on animal nutrition.
In practice, she kept seeing the same problem: clinical nutrition gets limited coverage in veterinary training, yet clients expect solid dietary advice.
In 2010 she founded Nutrissues, a veterinary nutrition consultancy. That experience led to FeedWise, a platform that turns nutritional science into a practical tool for everyday clinic use.

Our vision
We believe that optimal health can only exist with nutrition tailored to the individual animal. Veterinarians and paraveterinary professionals, with their understanding of physiology, disease and recovery, have the expertise to assess which nutritional adjustments are necessary in any given situation. When that knowledge is supported by solid scientific evidence and practical tools, nutrition can be deployed purposefully and individually to maintain health, support recovery and prevent disease.
